Loaded Coronas

Ingredients:

1 Bottle of Corona
2 oz Bacardi Limon Rum
Lime Wedge/ Lime juice

Directions:

Start by drinking a small amount of Corona, just enough to make room for your rum. Add 2 oz or a shot of Bacardi Limon Rum. Then add a dash of lime juice or squeeze in a lime or so. Once ingredients are added, cover the top of your bottle with
your thumb and tip upside down once or twice to mix it up. Once your Corona is mixed and done fizzing, then you can release your thumb. Be careful though, release your thumb too early and you’ll have loaded corona all over you! Drink and enjoy, but don’t forget you’re drinking doubles!

Sunglasses. Something needs to dim that bring light also known as the sun. Any kind will do! Accept these. They may actually make your headache and mild nauseousness even worse.

Flats. Or flip flops. As long as they don’t have a heal and they look good with whatever you have on.

Mints. Just enough freshness to tide you over until you get to your toothbrush.

Hair tie. Your hair looked so cute last night when you teased, straightened, and then loaded it with hairspray, but now its like a wild animal that needs to be tamed.

Tylenol. Extra Strength rapid release I might add.

Why is it recommended I don’t drink on the airplane?

A lot of people recommend not indulging while you’re traveling because the pressurized dry cabin air of an airplane causes dehydration. Because alcohol also causes dehydration, it’s said to seemingly double in strength and be absorbed more quickly into your body. This could be a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it! In my opinion having a drink or two on board is harmless as long as you know your (half) limit and drink plenty of water as well.

How much do alcoholic drinks usually cost?

Beer, wine, and alcoholic cocktails are priced from $5-$7 depending on the airline. Here is a breakdown by most common airlines:

Southwest, Midwest, Frontier, Jet Blue, and American Airlines are $5

AirTran, Spirit, and Alaska Airlines are $6

Delta and U.S. Airways are $7

What can I order on a plane?

Every airline has a variety of soda and juices available that can be used for cocktails. Everything from ginger ale to cranberry juice, and even bloody mary mix.

Do I have to tip the flight attendant?

Nope! Airlines deem it unnecessary, which is understandable because they don’t rely on tips like waiters. Of course, being tipped is always greatly appreciated and may result in stronger drinks and better service. They aren’t allowed to accept on the first offer though, but if you insist most will probable accept.

Do they only accept cash?

It used to be that airlines only accepted cash, but now a lot of them only accept credit cards. To be on the safe side I always carry both anyways, but if you need to know, the information may be available on the website of the airline you’re flying on.

German Chocolate Cake Shot

Ingredients:

1/2 oz Frangelico hazelnut liqueur
1/2 oz Vanilla vodka
Lemon wedge
Sugar

Directions:

In a shot glass pour Vodka and Hazelnut Liqueur. Garnish with a lemon wedge dipped in sugar. Then lick the sugar, take the shot, follow it by a bite into the lemon!

Cherry Vodka Limeade

Ingredients:

8 oz sprite
3 lime wedges
3 oz cherry juice
1-2 oz cherry vodka
cherry for garnish

Directions:

Fill glass half way with ice, squeeze the juice of 3 lime wedges and drop them in, add cherry juice, cherry vodka, and sprite. Stir and add cherry for garnish if you’d like!
